Lally Professor Jonathan Story Writes China Uncovered on Doing Business in China

Dr. Jonathan Story, Marusi Professor in Global Business at Lally, and emeritus professor of international political economy at INSEAD, has published his latest book, "China Uncovered: What You Need to Know to Do Business in China." Created to offer business leaders the insight they need to succeed in China, the book is the definitive “how-to” guide on launching a business in China and running it successfully.

China’s growing economy offers opportunity for businesses around the world.  With China attracting 70% of foreign investment in Asia, many business leaders feel that if they’re not in the Chinese market, they must be losing out.  However, China is a rapidly transforming, sometimes volatile market, as full of commercial pitfalls as it is potential goldmines.  Setting up business in China is still a new frontier for most senior managers.

International business scholar Jonathan Story’s new book, China Uncovered: What you need to know to do business in China, offers business leaders the insight they need to succeed in China.  Story considers the whole business lifecycle curve, from assessing whether to go into China, to setting up operations effectively, to coping with the communist party.  Drawing on extensive interviews with senior managers and business leaders in China, Story answers critical strategic questions by using the advice and experience from those who have been there and made it.
